If you’re looking for last minute Hard Fest tickets for tonight, Hard just released a limited run of spare tickets. Scenestar just posted a ticket link as well as the new basement jaxx video here. I just snagged my ticket. The secret artist hasn’t been revealed yet but since Crystal Castles and Felix Da Housecat are in town for Monster Massive, there’s a good chance the secret artist will be someone I like.

It’s reassuring to know I have a ticket. Also my friend Grant just called me to tell me he’s going to pick me up on his way to LA and drop me off at the venue, so I’ll only be taking the metro home now. All I need from here is a friend to go with at the show and maybe some drugs or alcohol. haha It’s halloween, might as well have some fun.

I can’t miss this. It looks like Modeselektor will be premiering this Alien Autopsy set on Halloween and it might possibly be a one time thing. It most likely will be professionally recorded too… not to mention Modeselektor never comes to LA and they’re on the top of my list of bands to see live next to Arcade Fire. But with no money, ride, place to crash, no one to go with and tickets being sold out as of this morning, it’s looking unlikely. But I’ll make it work somehow. Hard announced set times today, Modeselektor goes on at 3am, justice goes on at 12:30am and theres a few hour gap between their sets implying a big name surprise guest, which is common for Hardfest (everyone is crossing their fingers for Daft Punk but it’s unlikely) Major Lazer and Basement Jaxx go on before Justice so I wouldn’t have to miss any of the artists (except Crookers) that I wanted to see since they’ll be spinning on the same stage.

My hopes for the secret artist would be Diplo since he’ll be there spinning with switch anyways for the Major Lazer set but that would be too obvious. DJ Shadow will be in town that night spinning for the KCRW party and would have enough time to make his way over and spin another set for Hard. That would be a dream come true. Let’s hope the next two days of work are very profitable.
